FREE Father’s Day Car Show – 12-4pm at Town East Mall – June 17

On Sunday, June 17 from 12 to 4 p.m., Town East Mall celebrates Father’s Day with a free Car Show featuring classic, antique and collector cars and trucks. The vehicles will compete for awards including Best of Show and 29 class and first-place awards. Approximately 150 cars and trucks from throughout the region are expected at the event.

Along with the collection of cars and trucks, Dad and other car enthusiasts will be entertained by the antics of an Elvis impersonator. There will be fund-raising activities benefiting Mesquite Social Services, drawings for door prizes including Town East Mall Shop Etc. Gift Cards and more.

The Father’s Day Car Show will be held in the parking lot near I-635E, between Sears and Dillard’s. There is no charge for admission for spectators.

FREE Concert in the Park – Parker Square – Friday, 6/15 at 7:30pm

Enjoy a summer evening listening to great music at the gazebo in Parker Square. Order take-out from one of the many Parker Square restaurants and be sure to bring a blanket or lawn chair. All concerts are free and begin at 7:30 p.m. Tonight’s concert will feature Annagrey-Kashmir Lady – Jazz, 80′s, 90′s, Rock, Motown, Soul.

FREE MasterWorks Music Series in Southlake – Saturday, 6/16 at 7:30 pm

MasterWork’s is a free concert series that comes to Southlake every summer. Concerts are held in Southlake Town Square at Rustin Park Pavilion. Music lovers of all ages are invited to come out and hear a wide variety of musical performances during this concert series. It’s a great way to enjoy a summer evening with your family!

FREE Concert Series at the Levitt Pavilion in Arlington – 6/8-6/10 at 8pm

A summer series of free music, dance and performing arts under the stars at the Levitt Pavilion in Arlington. The Friday evening concert 6/15 headlines The Trishas , Saturday (June 16) features Rodney Parker & 50 Peso Reward , and Sunday (June 17) features soul jazz artist, Sierra Leone’s Refugee All Stars.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the outdoor entertainment! Snacks or a picnic dinner, and beverages are allowed. No glass containers.

FREE Grapevine Lake Fireworks Show & Summer Blast
Friday, June 15, 2012 (and Every Friday through Labor Day)

Friday nights over Grapevine Lake will sparkle with spectacular fireworks each Friday through the summer, now through Labor day. If you want to add some extra fun to your family evening, plan to view the fireworks from the Gaylord Texan Resort parking garage roof ~ a great viewing platform, and they will have a music DJ, games for kids, giveaways, and food and beverages for purchase.

• 8:00-10:00PM ~ Family friendly games and activities
• 9:30PM ~ Fireworks over Lake Grapevine (weather permitting)
Cost: FREE for both local and hotel guests to attend.

FREE Cowtown Opry Performance at the Fort Worth Stockyards - Western Hour/Father’s Day Show Sunday, 6/17 at 2pm

Hear classic western music come to life as Cowtown Opry members perform a free music exhibition on the steps of the Livestock Exchange building. This live family friendly music event will take place every Sunday and will feature a different theme each week ~ Western Gospel music will be featured on the 5th Sunday of the month. The live performance will take place on the steps of the historic Livestock Exchange building ~ 131 East Exchange Ave. in the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District.
